which route to choose?
you have one, two, three or more weeks of
vacation which route to choose, what parts go? You can not visit
every once in Greece, more reason to choose and prepare in advance
your vacation.
The itineraries below are personal choices,
so questionable facts in light of what I saw, and also that I have
not seen but would like to see as advised by many people. Generally I
do not recommend spending time in the car or the ferry, so do many
miles, my choices are related to this principle. An exception to this
advice: If you is THE trip to Greece in your life (I think our
Canadian friends from afar and I welcome Real) you need to do more
miles for a glimpse.
Important information if you go to the
islands sometimes (rarely, but it happens) it is too windy and some
boats can not move; catamarans are hit first, then fast ferries. If
you want a plane back just after the ferry that you missed, what a
pity! So the advice you find everywhere is to leave at least one day
gap between the last ferry and flight home. If you are planning a
stay in Athens made it after the trip to the islands and not before.
You have one week holiday about ? It is
little but you already go to discover beautiful corners. I suggest
you choose from the following:
- SANTORINI , Which can be reached by plane to save time
(prefer AEGEAN AIRLINES OLYMPIC much less than). It is an island
with unique landscapes (cliffs of the caldera) that you will not
see anywhere else. If you want to see another island choose one
nearby island, or well served by ferries. There is the choice in
the Cyclades, personally I do not know that Paros, Naxos (which
have the advantage of being very well served by ferries) more
Tinos and Syros. But ... Santorini summer is crowded with
tourists, especially those who arrive in groups of liners, it can
ruin the pleasure he must know! You can also complete the trip to
Santorini (which I think may be limited to four days) by a short
stay in Athens return
- DELPHI and meteors : DELPHI step made to visit the site
and museum, and then win the meteors you will spend at least two
days and then go to Ioaninna via Metsovo, if you have time to
visit around Ioaninna (Canyon by Vikos example), then ... it will

- a quick overview of the Peloponnese
(for lovers of old stones): go to
CORINTH, visit the ruins and enjoy the canal by a short stop, just
go to Nafplio and make them step it is good to walk, then visit
the entire area: MYCENAE , EPIDAURE , Tiryns , ARGOS (not seen),
Nemea . The sector of ERMIONE (Not many people on small beaches)

HYDRA . If you want to do more miles, add MYSTRA
- MYKONOS, DELOS, TINOS: MYKONOS by plane, boat DELOS where you can
admire the sanctuary and then boat to Tinos and return to MYKONOS.

not much interest except to the nearest island of Delos, as more

or your only chance to keep one side of the island, East or West.
If you choose Western preferably arrive at the airport of Hania

two weeks in this great island.
- and ATHENS ? of
course we can also go to ATHENS. There is much to see: museums,
monuments, old neighborhoods ... From Piraeus you can also visit
an island AEGINA is closest and is interesting, HYDRA is very
pretty but far more. But just like Paris is not France, not
Athens, Greece, the difference between Athens and the Greek
